I'm a brand story teller and creative collaborator.
Hi, I'm Gina Sorell. For two decades I worked as an actor, in NYC, Los Angeles and Toronto. I got my start at The Second City Mainstage Toronto and appeared in Film and TV for the BBC, Discovery Kids, Disney, and Paramount Pictures.
I graduated with distinction from UCLA Extension Writers' Program, and am the author of THE WISE WOMEN (HarperCollins), a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice, Good Morning America Buzz Pick, a Washington Post 13 feel-good books to brighten your summer selection, People Magazine Best New Book, Today Show Read With Jenna and Parade Magazine Most Anticipated Book of 2022. My debut novel MOTHERS AND OTHER STRANGERS was a Great Group Reads selection, and a 2017 best book of Refinery 29 and Self Magazine.
It was in California that I discovered the world of naming and branding, working at Eat My Words for over a decade first as a Namer and then as a Creative Director. While there I worked on hundreds of naming projects for Fortune 500 Companies, as well as start-ups, small businesses and solopreneurs. I dealt directly with clients, from start to finish, while leading name exploration on everything from technology to tortilla chips. My love of naming grew into my love of copywriting and brand messaging and after 12 years of doing so under the banner of Gina Colada, I formed
Words Make The Brand to do it all.

I partner with agencies and work directly with clients.
